CorrosBot

A self-imposed learning exercise to develop a discord bot, using Discord.Net API for a friend's study server. I spent the 2020 holiday developing a bot which records the start and exit times of users who engage with the study channels. This data is then used to create weekly and monthly leaderboards of each user's achieved times. The discord server has over 500 users, from around the world in various study positions.  

 

The bot was initially hosted on Amazon's Web Services (AWS) until 2022 when it was no longer a financial option. I moved the bot to Heroku and re-developed the bot in Node.js, and used Discord.js API and a SQL database.
